![]() Secondly, as noted already, the success of GTA Online on PC would be reason enough for Rockstar to look into a PC port eventually. For starters, the original game’s code was a total mess, thanks to a very protracted and fractured development cycle, which made a port implausible to begin with. Now, to be fair, the original Red Dead Redemption also did not come to PC- but things now are different enough from then. Speaking in a stream with on Twitch, the publisher very flatly, explicitly, and unambiguously shot down the possibility of a PC port for the upcoming game. However, Rockstar, on their part, are maintaining that the game will absolutely not come to PC. ![]() ![]() After all, that worked out well for Rockstar– not only did GTA 5 and Online get a huge following on PC, but the publisher managed to pick up a lot of double dippers along the way, too. ![]() Red Dead Redemption 2 has so far only been announced for Xbox One and PS4, but the general expectation has been that it will eventually get a release on PC, just like Grand Theft Auto 5 eventually did. ![]()
